During a locust plague the prophet called people to repentance
|
Joel summons the people
to repentance and prayer. In the face of a locust plague that threatens
destruction, the prophet warns that the day of the Lord approaches, but
offers hope of God's future blessing. In that day God will pour out
his spirit upon all flesh so that their sons and daughters will prophesy,
and the young and old will have visions and dreams.
