 | Late in his life
Abraham became concerned about the lineage of
his descendants. He sent his servant back to his home country Haran to
look for a wife for his son Isaac. The servant met Rebekah there and brought
her back to Canaan where she became
Isaac's wife. Rebekah was the mother of the twins
Jacob and Esau. Rebekah favored Jacob and helped her son deceive his
father in order to obtain a blessing. In the face of Esau's anger over
the incident she sent Jacob back to her home country to live with Laban,
        her brother. Gen
